Moving On
In case you hadn't noticed, I haven't posted in a bit. Been busy getting ready to move a few hundred miles east. Still staying in AK, but going to a smaller town. Half the size of our current location and accessible only by air or sea. And that's not even considered terribly remote for up here. We'll be packing a U-Haul in the next two days and taking the Alaska Marine Highway system (ie: the ferry) to our new place.
So, for the half dozen or so of you who read this blog, I'll catch up with you next week after we've settled in.
See you soon!

Uh, so I suppose it's moot to ask if there will be any good shopping?
Good luck, Cathy! I don't know how you do it, but Sharron insists that you love it up there on the tundra....
Hehehehe...depends on what you mean by "good" shopping. Want to buy some salmon or local crafts? This is a great place. Want shoes or jeans? No such a great place. Luckily shopping has never been a huge draw for me.
We aren't so far north that there's tundra, but I have lived near tundra and do like it for the most part. Here, there are plenty of trees and mountains and water. Very pretty. You should see it some time, despite the lack of shopping ; )
